The truck dynamometer has the advantage that it can also be used for normal motor vehicles, since two long rollers are used instead of four separate rollers.
The two rollers are furthermore coupled to another via a HTD toothed belt. The power is therefore transmitted to both the front and rear rollers, which decreases the possibility of wheel spin and heat build up in the tyres. The knurled rollers also ensures good traction and therefore limits unnecessary heat buildup in the tyres.
